Hi Patsi,I enjoyed the tour of your back yard. I like all those tall sekats for the tomatoes. I planted mostly heirlooms this year. I have included a few the last couple of years, and found they don’t get diseased any sooner or worse than the ones I have bought that were supposed to be disease resistant. I love your part of the yard! The planting area looks nice and functional. I need to figure out how to include bushes in my gardening. I have a few in the garden across the street, hoping to block the view of the other neighbors’ yard. I didn’t prune them when I was supposed to last year, so they are not shaped very nicely. If they bloom, I’ll look up how to prune them. It’s nice to be able to spend time in the garden, isn’t it? We seem to have had a very short spring, though, as summer weather looks to be here for awhile. I saw a swallowtail caterpillar on the dill in the herb garden. I scolded it, because I have dill and parsley for the caterpillars in the garden across the street and in the veggie garden. Maybe there are some there, too; I haven’t checked. I hope you find some soon.
